As has often been the case this season, good news has been accompanied by bad news on the injury front at Leeds United once again. The Whites head into the game in exactly that position yet again with the good news of Joel Piroe's availability accompanied by the news vice captain Pascal Struik will be missing for the next three weeks and could be out for much longer than that if tests show his hamstring injury is much more with serious tendon damage.

Struijk will miss the game against Danny Rohl's Wednesday outfit, with Max Wober back training but the club still cautious about him given his recent knee problems which are being managed carefully. It could mean a move back into the centre of defence for Ethan Ampadu yet again if Wober is not ready to play.

Joining Struijk on the absentee list is Patrick Bamford, who has made good progress in his rehab from his own hamstring injury, but who will not be seen for at least another two weeks. Illan Meslier is expected to start once again after being rested for the FA Cup game against Harrogate Town, with Karl Darlow dropping back to the bench.
