Leeds United will be without the services of Pascal Struijk and Patrick Bamford this afternoon as they look to extend their advantage at the top of the Championship.

Bamford came off the bench in midweek but he has not made the matchday squad at all this afternoon. The centre-forward, who has been linked with a move away from Elland Road after a season to forget so far, is not involved due to a hamstring problem.

Daniel Farke has made two changes to his starting XI. Max Wober and Ethan Ampadu return with Pascal Struijk and Sam Byram missing out. Byram makes the bench but New Year's Day goal-scorer Struijk misses out entirely because of an ankle injury.

The Whites will be hopeful of returning to winning ways this afternoon following a disappointing draw with Blackburn Rovers last time out. United had been on the verge of victory when Struijk scored from the spot with two minutes of normal time remaining.

However, Danny Batth's scrambled equaliser in the 90th minute ensured the points were shared. Fortunately for Leeds, their title rivals were unable to capitalise as Burnley drew with Stoke City and Sheffield United lost 2-1 at Sunderland.

Omens for Leeds look good with Hull struggling in the Championship relegation zone and their recent history suggests Farke's side are favourites to win. Hull have won just one of their last 11 matches against the Whites and that came as far back as December 2018.

Defensively, Leeds have enjoyed themselves in Hull having kept clean sheets in each of their last four visits to the MKM Stadium. Should they be victorious, Farke's side will have won three consecutive league away games for the first time since they won four on the bounce between January and February last year.

Leeds United XI vs Hull City: Meslier; Bogle, Wober, Rodon, Ampadu; Rothwell, Tanaka; James, Aaronson, Solomon; Piroe.
