Daniel Farke has decided to replace Joe Rothwell with Ilia Gruev in his Leeds United starting XI for tonight's Championship clash with Coventry City.

The Whites boss made the same decision for the goalless draw with Burnley, with Gruev playing the full game and Rothwell staying on the bench. Gruev is paired alongside Ao Tanaka in the middle.

Illan Meslier starts in goal, having yet to miss a Championship game this season. He currently sits on 18 clean sheets, which is the second highest in the league.

At full-back, Jayden Bogle retains his place once more while Junior Firpo could not be dropped after Saturday's performance during the 7-0 mauling of Cardiff City. He grabbed three assists in his first start since returning from injury, having picked up a foot problem over the festive period.

The front four, unsurprisingly, remain unchanged. Manor Solomon and Daniel James have three goals and three assists each in their last six Championship matches and begin on the wings once more.

On Tuesday, Farke said he was not worried about the 'buzzing' number 10 Brenden Aaronson becoming fatigued amid his streak of 28 consecutive league starts. He makes his 29th this evening.

Joel Piroe will be looking to build on his brace against Cardiff on Saturday, which took his season tally to 12. If he does score, it will be the first time sonce September that he has netted in consecutive matches.

Starting XI: Meslier; Bogle, Ampadu, Rodon, Firpo; Tanaka, Gruev; James, Aaronson, Solomon; Piroe

Subs: Darlow, Byram, Wober, Struijk, Rothwell, Guilavogui, Ramazani, Gnonto, Joseph.
