Leeds United transfer latest as defender joins Scottish club on trial ahead of potential exit
Leeds United are contemplating letting another young player leave on loan in the January transfer window. St Johnstone boss Simo Valakari has confirmed they are running the rule over Whites youngster Kris Moore.
The centre-back, who can also be utilised at right-back, is currently training with the Saints with a view to joining the Scottish Premiership outfit on loan. The 21-year-old is in the final year of his Whites contract.
Valakari told The Courier: “We have a young centre-back, Kris Moore, training with us this week so we can have a look at him. He has come recommended for us so it will be interesting to see how he gets on. He has played for Leeds United’s U23s team so we will watch him in training then see what we think.”

Moore jetted out to Dubai to be part of Hibernian's training camp last year. He impressed then manager Nick Montgomery but the Easter Road club decided against signing him.
The versatile defender has captained United's second-string side. He has also played three times for the Whites in the Football League Trophy during the 2022/23 season.
Championship leaders United, who are back in action tomorrow night when they entertain Norwich City, have yet to make a signing since the transfer window reopened at the start of the month. The Whites have allowed Joe Gelhardt, Charlie Crew and Luca Thomas to leave the club on a temporary basis last week. Gelhardt headed to Hull City, Crew moved to Doncaster Rovers and Thomas was snapped up by Halifax Town.
