Leeds United transfer latest as striker truth emerges and Emi Buendia hint
There are just under two weeks of the transfer window remaining, and Leeds United are continuing to be linked with players who could make the difference in their push for automatic promotion this season.
The Whites are yet to make any new additions to their squad, but that has not stopped talk over who could arrive ahead of the February 3 deadline. Here’s a look at some of the latest news.
Leeds have been named as one of three clubs linked with an interest in St Gallen striker Willem Geubbels.

Sky Sports reported on Tuesday that the Whites, alongside Norwich City and West Bromwich Albion are showing an interest in the 23-year-old on a possible loan deal. However, it is understood that Leeds are not interested in any deal.
The striker has scored eight goals for the Swiss side so far this season in all competitions. He has previously played for French sides Lyon and Nantes.
Elsewhere, Aston Villa may have just sent a hint over the future of Emiliano Buendia. Leeds have been heavily linked with a potential loan deal for the midfielder, with Villa boss Unai Emery has opened the door to a possible exit as he searches for more game time.
But, it seems that a move is not imminent. Villa were in Champions League action on Tuesday night as they lost 1-0 to Ligue 1 outfit Monaco, and Buendia was named in the starting lineup. He remained on the pitch for 86th minutes before being replaced by Lamare Bogarde.
His inclusion hints that a move is not close, with Villa unlikely to risk him if a transfer away was lined up. Whites fans may be keeping a close eye on how he gets on at Champions League level.
