Father Christmas has been and while he may not have left Daniel Farke with a stack of cash to go out and buy a top class striker or a handy player sitting under his tree, Leeds United are approaching the transfer window in good shape.

A year ago the Whites had a quiet January which saw then sign Connor Roberts on loan from Burnley and do no other business. It's more than likely Leeds will operate in the same way this forthcoming transfer window with the club being careful with regards to what they spend, while Farke doesn't want to disrupt his squad too much.

Joe Gelhardt is being linked with an exit to Wrexham after becoming something of a forgotten man under Farke, so could that see a striker or forward come in to give the Leeds boss another option?
