Daniel Farke faces the media on Thursday afternoon for his pre-match press conference. The Leeds United manager will take questions from television, radio, print and online journalists at Thorp Arch ahead of Saturday's clash with Cardiff City.

Farke said he was satisfied with the point his team picked up away to promotion rivals Burnley. The result moved the Whites two points clear at the top of the Championship, with 17 matches left to play.

Here is a run-down of some of the main topics on the agenda for the boss to address at the training ground today.

Who is injured?

United travelled to Turf Moor without Pascal Struijk and Patrick Bamford. Farke confirmed in his post-match debrief that Struijk was close to returning to first-team training after missing the previous four league matches due to a hamstring problem.

Has Struijk resumed full training? Could he feature on Saturday?

Bamford has not figured since coming on as a second half substitute in the draw with Blackburn Rovers on New Year's Day. How far away is the striker from returning to action?

Whites fans will also be hoping Farke's men picked up no fresh injury concerns on Monday night.

Will United make any signings?

Clubs have until 11pm on Monday night to get deals over the line for the remaining months of the Championship season. Farke suggested a little over 48 hours ago he might be in a position to discuss their transfer business in the next press conference. It will be interesting to see what the German says on their search for reinforcements.

Farke recently admitted he would be interested in bringing in a centre-back, a number 10 and striker to increase their squad depth for the challenges that lie ahead but stressed any potential additions have to be upgrades on the players he has at his disposal and be financially affordable.

Joel Piroe's form

The striker has found the back of the net on just three occasions since the end of November, including a brace in the win at Stoke City on Boxing Day. He was anonymous on Monday night and made way for Mateo Joseph late on.

How do United get Piroe firing again? Have United got enough goals in attack to win the league?

Joseph has gone 19 matches without a goal, albeit the majority of outings have come from off the bench, while Bamford has failed to make an impact this season. Will they be taking a big gamble by not strengthening the forward line in this window?

Full-back dilemma

The Whites played on the front foot at Burnley and tried to win but lacked end product in the final third. It was a damp squib of a contest.

But has the time come to hand a recall to Junior Firpo? His attacking capabilities could prove crucial over the coming weeks and months. Farke has carefully managed the defender's minutes since his return from injury.

It would be harsh to leave Sam Byram out. He has barely put a foot wrong in the left back position. However, Firpo could give them more energy and creativity at the top end of the pitch. The chances are Cardiff, who have struggled on their travels, will not look to play an expansive game at fortress Elland Road.
