Leeds United's new Adidas is worth "millions of pounds" to the Championship club, according to finance expert Dan Plumley.

It emerged at the end of October that the Whites had agreed a new "multi-year" deal with the German sporting giant. The Whites have been with kit manufacturer since 2020.

Speaking to MOT Leeds News, Plumley said: “It’s a really good deal. You look at the way in which this has come about and linked to some of those record kit sales, it’s obvious that Adidas are invested in that as well and see potential in Leeds United.

“You’re always looking at the ballpark numbers for what the deal actually is and what it’s worth, it will be in the region of a few million, for sure.

“It won’t be that top-tier Adidas package given where they are at the minute, but it shows the relationship is going well and that can drive other leverage going forward. It just seems to be a really positive deal at the minute and really working well.”

Former Everton chief Keith Wyness reckons the new terms will contain a “Premier League bonus” should they seal a top-flight return. He told Football Insider: “There’ll be Premier League bonuses in this deal. There may also be some connection with the 49ers, or with Red Bull. There may be a more complicated group deal we’re not aware of.

“But certainly if Leeds are promoted there will be no cut-price deal. There will be a bonus in this deal which will allow them to benefit greatly from being a Premier League club again.”
