Leeds United's promotion rivals hit by fresh injury blow after transfer 'statement'
Leeds United will be keeping a close eye on what happens at Turf Moor tomorrow night. Victory for Burnley over Sunderland will see them leapfrog the Whites into top spot.
But the Black Cats are also in the thick of the automatic promotion race. Three points for the Wearside outfit would move them above the Clarets and level on points with United going into the weekend fixtures.
Eyebrows were raised over Sunderland signing midfielder Enzo Le Fee on loan from Italian side Roma for the rest of the season. The Frenchman only joined the Serie A club last summer in a deal worth around £19.4m from French outfit Rennes.

Head coach Regis Le Bris said: "It's a good statement for the club because it shows that we are attractive. The environment is positive to grow, to live big emotions and to improve."
Le Fee is in contention to make his debut in Lancashire. "Enzo is versatile and has really good quality," said Le Bris. "He can adapt himself in different positions, a six, eight or 10.
"We need depth in that part of the squad so we'll see in the 20 games we have left how we use Enzo and the other players."
Le Bris will be unable to call upon defender Aji Alese, who is set to undergo knee surgery. Former United player Leo Hjelde is pushing for a first team recall.
"Leo could come in," acknowledged Le Bris. "Football is like that. You have to wait for your opportunity and probably it’s one for Leo. To be fair he has done very well so far. He is always connected with the team, he trains properly and he is a good player so now it could be an option for us.”
