Leicester City handed boost as Newcastle United threat suffers fresh injury blow
Newcastle United striker Callum Wilson has experienced more injury trouble ahead of the visit of Ruud van Nistelrooy's Leicester City this Saturday.
The former Bournemouth and Coventry City man had made four cameo appearances over the last four games after missing the first 11 matches of the season with a back injury, but will now be out yet again when the Foxes come to town.
Wilson has made just four appearances this season for the Magpies after suffering from various injury issues and manager Eddie Howe has remaining cautious regarding his integration back into the team.

According to the Daily Mail, Wilson is set for even more time out after injuring his hamstring, keeping him out for another two months. This means that the 32-year-old will miss his side's clash with the Foxes with Newcastle taking a hit to their attacking reinforcements.
The England international has a brilliant scoring record for the Geordie team since joining from the Cherries in 2020, with 48 goals in 112 games for the club. His absence will come as a slight lift for van Nistelrooy's men as Newcastle will be without any real backup to Alexander Isak, youngster William Osula the only other striker in and around the first team at the moment.
As someone not shy of injury troubles himself, Isak will need to be on full form and fitness if Newcastle are to put Leicester to the sword on Saturday, with midfielder Joe Willock also looking likely to miss out amongst other long-term absentees.
Howe's men lost their last game 4-2, crumbling away to Brentford, and have experienced mixed fortunes this season. They sit in a disappointing 12th place and the club has recently been criticised by Premier League and Newcastle legend Alan Shearer for its operations over the past few months.
The Foxes will see this weekend as a great opportunity to climb the table and go within just three points of Newcastle in their fight to stave off relegation this season.
