De Ligt, Shaw, Mount - Man United injury news and return dates before Newcastle
Manchester United could go into 2025 on the back of four straight defeats if they lose to Newcastle United on Monday night. United welcome Eddie Howe's men to Old Trafford looking to end a difficult year on a high.
After exiting the Carabao Cup to Tottenham, United suffered straight league defeats to Bournemouth and Wolves over Christmas. It leaves Ruben Amorim's men 14th in the table after 18 games - just eight points above the relegation zone.
Fortunately for Amorim, his injury list is far shorter than it was before and he will work with more options over January. However, there does remain some long-term absentees and doubts for the Newcastle game.
