'Little bit confused' - Huddersfield Town chief spells out his League One expectation
Huddersfield Town owner Kevin Nagle hopes his side will have a “really strong stretch in the last half of the season” as they chase promotion back to the Championship.
The Terriers sit fourth in the League One table, on 36 points from 19 matches played, following Saturday’s 2-2 draw at home to Lincoln City.
Town extended their unbeaten run in the division to 10 matches at the weekend, with Michael Duff’s side having won seven and drawn three of those games.

The Terriers suffered four straight league defeats earlier in the season to leave them with ground to make up, but their upturn in form has them sitting six points inside the play-offs at present, as well as six points off the automatic promotion places.
With Town in a promising position in the table and looking to strengthen the squad in January, Nagle believes his side are well-placed to push for promotion in the second half of the campaign.
“We were a little bit confused at the very beginning, because we had a number of games that we won, and then we had that losing streak that really sort of made us take a step back, but Michael got us back on track,” the owner told BBC Radio Leeds.
“I think the lads are playing really well, we had a little bit of a hiccup last week (exiting the EFL Trophy), but I think that we shouldn’t let that really confuse us. With the changes that I anticipate that we’re going to make (in the transfer market), it’ll be a really strong stretch in the last half of the season.
“I want to be in the Championship, and I know that we’re going to be up there, I just feel it. We’ve got the thirst and the organisation right now to really support us to get us there.”
