Arne Slot makes nine changes to the Liverpool team that is hosted by Bournemouth in the Premier League this afternoon. The leaders are further boosted by returns of Diogo Jota, Darwin Nunez and Curtis Jones, who are all part of the bench at the Vitality Stadium.

Slot rang the changes for Wednesday night's Champions League dead-rubber at PSV Eindhoven, leaving behind virtually all of his big-name players and Cody Gakpo and Andy Robertson are the only two who keep their place from the 3-2 defeat in Holland.

Alisson Becker returns in goal behind a back four of Trent Alexander-Arnold, Virgil van Dijk, Ibrahima Konate and Robertson, while Ryan Gravenberch, Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai are restored to midfield.

Mohamed Salah is stationed on the right side of the attack as he aims to add to his 23 goals across all competitions this term as Gakpo keeps his place on the left flank. Luis Diaz leads the line as Nunez and Jota are left in reserve on the bench.

Jota has missed the last four games after suffering a setback following his goalscoring cameo in the 1-1 draw with Nottingham Forest last month, but the Portugal international is recalled to the match-day squad on the south coast. His wait for a first Premier League start since October 20 goes on, however and that could stretch close to the four-month mark with the Reds not in league action until they travel to Everton on February 12 after today's game.

Jones has been absent for the last two games after suffering an injury in the first half of the 2-1 victory over Lille on January 21 but is back in the squad once more after returning to training earlier this week. Joe Gomez misses out on the squad having himself returned to training earlier this week after a hamstring injury picked up at West Ham United in late-December.

Federico Chiesa is another not picked with the Italy international rested after his first 90 minutes since June in midweek at PSV. The former Juventus forward may feature more prominently next week when the Reds return to domestic cup duty against Tottenham and Plymouth Argyle.

Subs: Kelleher, Endo, Nunez, Jota, Tsimikas, Elliott, Bradley, Jones, Quansah.
