Liverpool are back in action on Saturday afternoon with the Premier League trip to Bournemouth. And the Reds are still waiting to discover exactly who they can call upon for the game against the in-form Cherries.

Diogo Jota and Curtis Jones remain major doubts with both having been sidelined during the past fortnight by injury.

Jota has missed the last four games after complaining of having suffered a muscle injury during his goalscoring cameo from the bench during the 1-1 draw at Nottingham Forest earlier in the month. The Portuguese has already missed a significant chunk of the campaign after an impact injury to his upper body against Chelsea at Anfield in late October.

Jones, meanwhile, hasn't been seen since being forced off shortly after creating the opening goal for Mohamed Salah in last Tuesday's 2-1 Champions League home win over Lille.

Jones subsequently picked up a knock shortly before half-time and while he was able to continue for the remainder of the first half after treatment, he failed to reappear for the second half.

Liverpool are also in danger of being without Darwin Nunez at the weekend after the striker missed Wednesday's 3-2 Champions League loss at PSV Eindhoven through illness. Nunez had travelled to Holland as part of the squad but was sent back to Merseyside before the game.

Reds boss Arne Slot, though, could be bolstered by the return of Joe Gomez, who returned to full team training on Tuesday having been absent since injuring his hamstring during the first half of the 5-0 Premier League win at West Ham United on December 29.
