Liverpool has been handed another injury scare with Conor Bradley limping off during the game with Aston Villa. The Northern Irish full-back replaced Trent Alexander-Arnold but then came off with a few minutes of the match left.

In his place, Jarell Quansah, a center-back, entered the field with the game level at 2-2. With Joe Gomez already missing at the moment after he injured his hamstring, it is far from ideal for Arne Slot.

Bradley appeared to tweak something (potentially his hamstring) when he was squared up by Ollie Watkins. Liverpool plays Manchester City next midweek before facing Newcastle United at Anfield.

Gomez is likely to be missing for a substantial period while Cody Gakpo has sat out the last two fixtures (Wolves and Aston Villa) too after picking up a knock during the Merseyside derby against Everton. Gakpo could be back soon but no definite timeline has been offered yet.

Liverpool drew the game 2-2 in the end with Alexander-Arnold coming on to find an equalizer. Mohamed Salah had put the Reds in front in the first half before Youri Tielemans and Watkins turned the clash around.

"A bit disappointed but we fight," Virgil van Dijk told TNT Sports at the final whistle. "We had chances to win the game, took a bit of a risk at the end so it got more open at times. We take a point and move on and focus on a big one at the weekend, again.

"In possession we did quite well, created good opportunities to score the second. Disappointing to concede from a set-piece. We tried everything and unfortunately it wasn't enough for three points.

"We should have scored 3-2, but credit to Aston Villa, they made it very difficult. We have a very tough one on the weekend again, then we play Newcastle, our focus now will be on Man City, a very difficult game, we know that. Do everything in your power to win games, the focus will be that on Sunday again."
