Liverpool can make decisive Premier League move against Arsenal despite fixture chaos
Liverpool's victory over Tottenham in the Carabao Cup semi-final has shaken up the Reds' fixture schedule, with a date at Wembley now penned in for March 16.
The date of the final means Liverpool's Premier League trip to Aston Villa, which was originally slated for the weekend of the final, has been brought forward to February 19.
And that means the Reds will face a run of five Premier League games in 15 days between February 12 and February 26. The first of those games is next week's rearranged Merseyside derby at Goodison Park, before a home game against Wolves, back-to-back away games at Aston Villa and Manchester City, and another home game against Newcastle.
Contrastingly, Arsenal, who has currently played one game more than Liverpool, will only play three league games in February, so will actually end the month with a game in hand over the Reds.

That will, of course, only feel like a good thing for the Gunners if they collect maximum points in February and Liverpool drop some. If the Reds collect maximum points themselves, though, they will have gone some way towards wrapping up the Premier League title.
On paper, Liverpool's run of games is tricky, with Wolves at home the only game that one might get away with describing as a banker.
Next week's trip across Stanley Park looks far tougher now than it did a month ago, with David Moyes having had the desired impact since returning to the Toffees. Everton has won its last three Premier League matches and the atmosphere is sure to be electric in what will almost certainly be the last Merseyside derby at Goodison Park.
After the Wolves match, successive away games against Aston Villa and Manchester City over the following week will be a big test of the team's title credentials. Liverpool's last league game of February sees Newcastle travel to Anfield in a dress rehearsal for the cup final. The two teams played out one of the games of the season in December and it will likely prove to be another tricky test.
Arsenal, meanwhile, faces West Ham at home sandwiched between away games against Leicester and Nottingham Forest. Should Liverpool emerge from February in good shape in the title race, it would take a monumental slip-up from then onwards for the Premier League trophy not to end up at Anfield come May.
