Liverpool face striker conundrum as Arne Slot prepares for complete overhaul
Liverpool ended their Champions League first stage with a 3-2 defeat at PSV Eindhoven on Wednesday evening. Cody Gakpo's penalty and a Harvey Elliott strike twice put the visitors ahead only for the home side to equaliser each time before netting a winner in first-half stoppage time.
Liverpool now turn their attention back to the Premier League when they travel to in-form Bournemouth on Saturday afternoon aiming to temporarily open up a nine-point gap on second-placed Arsenal.
And here we look ahead to the changes Slot could make when his team are next in action.

Big-hitters return
With the vast majority of his senior players having been left on Merseyside in midweek, Slot will heavily rotate his squad by bringing in what he hopes will be fresh legs.
Alisson Becker will be expected to return between the sticks in place of Caoimhin Kelleher, with Vitezslav Jaros the third choice goalkeeper. At right-back, Trent Alexander-Arnold had Wednesday off and is primed to replace Conor Bradley, while on the other side of the defence Andy Robertson would appear favourite to start given that while both he and Kostas Tsimikas lined up against PSV - Robertson in an unaccustomed centre-back role - the Scot was replaced shortly after the hour.
Virgil van Dijk and Ibrahima Konate are ready to return in the centre of defence with Jarell Quansah dropping out. Joe Gomez was back training on Tuesday after a month out with a hamstring problem but isn't ready to be considered for a start.
Elliott decision?
Ryan Gravenberch was given a rare breather on Wednesday and is poised to step back into one of the defensive midfield roles alongside Alexis Mac Allister. Wataru Endo and James McConnell, who both started against PSV, are alternatives, along with Tyler Morton although the latter could depart before Monday night's transfer deadline.
Harvey Elliott scored for the second time in three appearances in midweek but is likely to make way for Dominik Szoboszlai in the number 10 role. Curtis Jones has yet to resume training after being forced off against Lille last week.
Trey Nyoni came off the bench against PSV but, similar to McConnell and Morton, hasn't featured in the Premier League this season.
Nunez wait
Slot's forward line selection may be dependent on the health of Darwin Nunez, who was sent home from Holland before Wednesday's game due to illness.
Should the Uruguayan be unavailable, Luis Diaz would be expected to start down the centre with Diogo Jota having missed the last four games through injury. Jayden Danns, who made his first senior start in midweek, is an option.
Cody Gakpo will most likely continue down the left, with Mohamed Salah coming back in on the right ahead of Federico Chiesa.
