Liverpool fans loved what Federico Chiesa did after Harvey Elliott goal
If you were to ask Liverpool fans which players they were willing to do well during the second half of the season, a lot of them would mention Federico Chiesa and Harvey Elliott.
While the Reds are enjoying an excellent season as a team, still going strong four competitions, Chiesa and Elliott have each endured difficult campaigns individually. Chiesa has started just once for the Reds, back in September, with his lack of game time prompting links with a return to Italy earlier on in the January transfer window.
Elliott, meanwhile, suffered a fractured foot just weeks into the new season and has not had too much game time since returning. So, the sight of Elliott scoring Liverpool's match-winning goal against Lille in the Champions League on Tuesday was a welcome one, and plenty of Reds fans seemingly enjoyed the goal celebration as much as the goal itself.

That's because Elliott was joined in his celebration by Chiesa, who had been warming up on the touchline ahead of entering the field as a second-half substitute himself. Chiesa, sporting a beaming grin, sprinted onto the pitch to congratulate Elliott and hug the 21-year-old, clearly delighted for his young teammate.
Chiesa has probably spent more time with Elliott than many of his other Reds teammates considering their fitness issues this season as well as the amount of time they have both spent together on the bench. It was a lovely moment which underlined the togetherness of Liverpool's squad under Arne Slot.
Liverpool took the lead on Tuesday through Mohamed Salah's first-half strike, which was his 50th European goal for the Reds. The Egyptian forward now has 51 goals in the Champions League (45 for Liverpool, one for Roma, five for Basel, none of Chelsea). That tally is only bettered by Cristiano Ronaldo (141), Lionel Messi (129), Robert Lewandowski (102), Karim Benzema (90), Raul (71), Ruud van Nistelrooy (60), Andriy Shevchenko (59), and Thomas Muller (55).
Jonathan David scored a surprise equalizer for Lille in the 62nd minute - just three minutes after Aissa Mandi was sent off for the visitors - but Elliott's goal saved the day for Liverpool.
