Liverpool forward missing from training before Champions League clash with Paris Saint-Germain
Liverpool have been dealt a potential blow after Cody Gakpo was absent from open training on Tuesday. The forward had only recently returned from injury after suffering a knock in last month's Merseyside derby.
Gakpo may now be doubt to face Paris Saint-Germain in Wednesday's Champions League round-of-16 first-leg clash at the Parc des Princes.
Liverpool will confirm their travelling squad later today (Tuesday) with head coach Arne Slot offering an injury update at his pre-match press conference in Paris from 6.30pm UK time. Youngsters Rio Ngumoha, - who is now eligible after being added to the Reds' Champions League squad for the knockout stages - Trey Nyoni and James McConnell could be included in the party after all were involved in open training.

Slot will definitely have to make do without Conor Bradley, Joe Gomez and Tyler Morton for the big match.
The Reds boss has already confirmed that Bradley is set to be out for a number of weeks with a hamstring problem, while Gomez and Morton are long-term absentees after undergoing surgery on hamstring and shoulder injuries respectively.
Academy starlet Amara Nallo is also suspended for the first leg against PSG after being sent off when making his Liverpool debut in their last league phase match, away to PSV Eindhoven, in December.
The Reds were not in action at the weekend. Their shock FA Cup exit, at the hands of Plymouth Argyle, means they have enjoyed a full week to prepare for their meeting with PSG following last Wednesday’s 2-0 home victory over Newcastle United that moved them 13 points clear at the top of the Premier League.
Slot will face the media, along with one one of his players, following the squad's arrival in France later today with the pre-match press conference scheduled to take place at 6.30pm UK time.
Ibrahima Konate, Alexis Mac Allister, Andy Robertson and Harvey Elliott will all be walking a disciplinary tight-rope at the Parc des Princes.
If any of the Liverpool quartet are booked in Paris, they will have to serve a one-game suspension and sit out the second leg back at Anfield, which takes place on Tuesday, March 11.
