Liverpool given Xavi Simons transfer update as 'contact' made for £50m ace ahead of 'big offer'
Liverpool now turn their attention to the summer transfer window after a quiet winter window. Deadline day, as usual, concerned outgoing rather than incomings, but the club should be back in the market for signings once this season is over.
Giorgi Mamardashvili will almost certainly be the first arrival when the Georgian goalkeeper joins from Valencia ahead of the next campaign. That move will seemingly see Caoimhin Kelleher depart.
The futures of Mohamed Salah, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Virgil van Dijk will also impact how active the Reds are. Here, the ECHO rounds up the latest reports.

Xavi Simons update
German journalist Christian Falk believes Xavi Simons will be available later this year. "It's looking likely that Leipzig will sell Xavi Simons in the summer transfer window," Falk said via CaughtOffside.
"Leipzig are thinking they have signed a player for €50m who has the potential to be an €80m player, so they could earn a lot of money on a potential sale. I'm sure there's a gentleman's agreement or a release clause, which would see Simons sold in the summer.
"Liverpool are interested, as are Manchester City and Manchester United. Xavi Simons won't stay at Leipzig for his whole career."
Liverpool's Larsson plan
Liverpool have reportedly contacted the representatives of Eintracht Frankfurt midfielder Hugo Larsson. CaughtOffside claims that the Reds would be willing to make a big offer this summer for the Sweden international, whose market value is said to be around £50million.
After also expressing their interest, Arsenal and Manchester United are also apparently similarly ready to make a move later this year like the Reds. Manchester United, Real Madrid and Tottenham Hotspur are said to have an interest in the 20-year-old, albeit none of the half-dozen named teams have reportedly held talks with Eintracht yet.
