Arne Slot says Ibrahima Konate and Conor Bradley will train with the team today ahead of his side facing Manchester United in the Premier League this weekend.

Konate has been missing since he limped off against Real Madrid in the 2-0 win over the Spanish outfit in the Champions League. Bradley picked up his injury in the same game meaning the pair have missed eight matches in all competitions.

But both could be in contention to return either this weekend or in the semi-final first leg against Tottenham next midweek in a major double boost for the Reds. Konate had been in exceptional form before picking up his injury while Bradley, amid speculation over Trent Alexander-Arnold, could become increasingly important.

Meanwhile, Joe Gomez is set for a spell on the sidelines with the hamstring injury he picked up against West Ham United last weekend. The English center-back has been in good form lately but was replaced by Jarell Quansah in the first half.

Italian winger Federico Chiesa is still working his way back up to full fitness. The 26-year-old has been in and out of the matchday squads recently through injury, illness, and simply not being selected.

"With Federico I’ve said it many times already: we are working on two things," Slot said last Sunday on Chiesa. "We are working on his match fitness and whenever we can, we try to bring him on the bench with the team.

"But he was on the bench during the week and we thought it was better for him to have some extra training sessions instead of joining us. It’s a constant balance we have to find between getting him fitter and fitter and letting him join the team."
