Liverpool injury latest and return dates including Trent Alexander-Arnold as new issues emerge
Liverpool has a couple of fresh injury concerns heading into this week after Joe Gomez and Curtis Jones both declared problems over the weekend.
Gomez lined up at Plymouth on Sunday but was withdrawn early on after pulling up during the first 10 minutes, while Jones told Slot he wasn't fit enough to play having initially been earmarked for a place on the bench at Home Park.
With Trent Alexander-Arnold and Tyler Morton also out at the moment, Slot will hope the Gomez's and Jones's lay-offs aren't prolonged. Here's the latest injury news on Liverpool's squad...

Joe Gomez
Reason for absence: Hamstring injury
What Arne Slot said (on February 9): "I am not too sure. I am not too sure if it was [an injury to] the same leg [that kept Gomez out in January], but I haven't had time to ask him. It was clear, I think we all know which moment he felt a bit insecure about [it] because he didn't sprint back fully. Then he said, 'I am not 100 per cent sure and I am afraid if I make one extra sprint things will go wrong.' It's not torn I assume, but it didn't feel good for him."
Possible return date: Unknown
Curtis Jones
Reason for absence: Groin injury
What Arne Slot said (on February 9)... Slot revealed he intended to start Jones against Plymouth in the FA Cup but eventually left him on the bench for match after Jones said he did not yet feel fully fit after a recent groin problem.
Slot said: "Curtis Jones was on the bench, but he came to me this morning and said, 'I don't think I am fully recovered yet' as well after the training session of yesterday."
Possible return date: February 12 vs Everton
Trent Alexander-Arnold
Reason for absence: Thigh injury
What Arne Slot said (on February 7): “[Last weekend's FA Cup match against Plymouth is] going to be too early for him. Difficult to say [whether he will return against Everton this week]. Like I said before, it’s not going to take months and not even weeks but that’s only three days after the Plymouth Argyle game, so let’s wait and see if he is available. We also have to look at the long term, of course we don’t want to take any risks with so many games afterwards coming up. But if he’s fit then of course we will use him.”
Possible return date: February 12 vs Everton
Tyler Morton
Reason for absence: Shoulder injury
What Arne Slot said (on February 7): “[He will be out] for weeks or maybe even longer”.
Possible return date: Unknown
