Liverpool injury news and possible returns dates as Arne Slot confirms triple blow
It didn't seem as though Liverpool suffered any fresh injury scares during Sunday's 2-0 victory over Manchester City, which will have been a relief to Arne Slot after two players limped off against Real Madrid four days earlier.
Slot has had to contend with injuries to his squad for the majority of his time as the Reds' head coach, and it is testament to the work he has done that the absence of some key players has not had a detrimental impact on results on the pitch.
Still, he will be hoping to welcome back his injured players as soon as possible, with the fixtures coming thick and fast for his title-chasing team.

Here is the current state of play regarding the injuries in Liverpool's squad:
Ibrahima Konate
Konate damaged his knee in stoppage time of Liverpool's win against Real Madrid when he landed awkwardly following a coming-together with Endrick and Virgil van Dijk.
The French center-back is expected to be sidelined for five to six weeks, keeping him out of all of Liverpool's games during a hectic December schedule.
What Slot has said: "They will both (Konate and Conor Bradley) be out for a few weeks. I have said many times before, it's always difficult to judge how many weeks this exactly is because you can think in the beginning it'll be like this and then the end stage of an injury process can always differ a bit." - quote from December 1.
Expected return date: January 2025
Conor Bradley
Bradley also sustained an injury against Madrid as his fantastic performance was disrupted by a hamstring problem in the second half.
It was reported by The Belfast Telegraph over the weekend that the Northern Ireland international is also facing a six-week spell on the sidelines.
What Slot has said: "They will both (Bradley and Ibrahima Konate) be out for a few weeks. I have said many times before, it's always difficult to judge how many weeks this exactly is because you can think in the beginning it'll be like this and then the end stage of an injury process can always differ a bit." - quote from December 1.
Expected return date: January 2025
Alisson
Alisson has been out since the beginning of October with a hamstring injury but is now nearing a return. The Brazilian has missed Liverpool's last 10 matches and clarified over the weekend that his recovery is taking so long because he had damaged a tendon, and tendons take longer to recover than muscles.
Caoimhin Kelleher has deputized brilliantly for the Brazilian but Arne Slot has consistently maintained that Alisson will retain his place in the team as soon as he is back to full fitness.
Expected return date: Unknown, but probably at some point in December
Kostas Tsimikas
Tsimikas has not figured for the Reds since before the international break after sustaining a foot injury which is expected to keep him sidelined for the games against Newcastle and Everton.
What Slot has said: "I don't think Kostas will be with us in the upcoming week." - quote from December 1.
Expected return date: Unknown, but probably at some point in December
Diogo Jota
Jota is also a long-term absentee having not turned out since Liverpool's 2-1 win against Chelsea in October. He picked up a chest injury during that match and Slot said last week that he was "not there yet" in terms of being available for the team again.
Expected return date: Unknown, but probably at some point in December
Federico Chiesa
Chiesa has barely figured for Liverpool since joining the club from Juventus, making just three appearances, the last of which came in September.
It was reported over the weekend by DaveOCKOP, however, that Chiesa is not injured, rather Liverpool had him on a personalized training programme in a bid to carefully manage his adaptation to English football. He is now said to be have completed that programme and is reportedly available for selection immediately.
Possible return date: Early December
