Liverpool 'intensify' plan for January transfer as 'enquiries confirmed' for Arsenal target
Liverpool do not have long to wait before they are able to add new signings to their squad. The January transfer window is fast approaching, and the Reds are already being linked with several potential targets that could move to Anfield for the second half of the season.
Arne Slot added Federico Chiesa to his squad in the summer with his one and only signing as Liverpool's head coach. Giorgi Mamardashvili was also signed by the Reds last summer, but the goalkeeper is spending the campaign on loan with Valencia before officially linking up with his new teammates.
It remains to be seen what targets, if any, Liverpool have in mind for the January transfer window. From January 1, the Reds will be able to complete new signings and as the New Year fast approaches we are starting to see the rumours ramp up.

Here, the ECHO takes a look at some of the latest Liverpool transfer rumours that have generated headlines over the last 24 hours.
Liverpool are continuing to be linked with a move for Bournemouth defender Milos Kerkez. The Reds have been frequently credited with an interest in signing the left-back ever since the summer transfer window, with rumours seemingly gathering pace in recent weeks.
According to journalist Francois Plateau, Liverpool will "intensify" their interest in signing Kerkez in the coming weeks in the build-up to the New Year. It has not been stated, though, if this will lead to an offer being made for the Hungary international.
Liverpool currently have Andy Robertson and Kostas Tsimikas as their left-back options in the squad. Joe Gomez has also been used in the role at times this season, but there have been frequent rumours that Slot may want to strengthen the left side of the defence either in January or next summer.
Elsewhere, Liverpool are being credited with an interest in signing Barcelona forward Raphinha. According to TBR Football, the Reds will compete with Manchester City and Arsenal for the Brazilian's signature ahead of the January transfer window.
The report claims that Liverpool were first interested in signing Raphinha in the summer, and that stance remains the case heading into the New Year. It has been reported that enquiries have been made by the Reds and other Premier League clubs about the former Leeds United star, but Barcelona remain resolute that they are not interested in a deal that would sanction Raphinha's exit.
