Liverpool make Joshua Kimmich transfer 'decision' as Man City eye Reds-linked midfielder
Liverpool are not currently pursuing a move for Bayern Munich midfielder Joshua Kimmich, according to reports. The Reds have been linked with the Germany international in recent weeks as he faces contract uncertainty.
The 29-year-old will be out of contract at the Allianz Arena in the summer and the Bundesliga giants are said to scrambling to tie down the midfielder to fresh terms. Sky Sports Germany's Florian Plettenberg has reported that Kimmich is taking his time on whether to extend his stay in Bavaria with concrete interest from England and Spain.
However, it has been suggested that there is no current pursuit from Anfield due to the options in his position with the Reds said to be eyeing different departments.

The German reporter added that Kimmich could follow the trend to remain at Bayern with his family preference adding to his 418 appearances for the club.
In a series of tweets, he said: "Joshua #Kimmich is taking his time deciding on a contract extension beyond 2025. Max Eberl is determined to keep him at Bayern.
"There is still concrete interest from England and Spain, notably from Manchester City and Barcelona.
"Liverpool, as confirmed by close sources, is not currently pursuing him actively, partly because the club is overstaffed in central midfield and focusing on other profiles. #LFC
"The trend points toward an extension with FC Bayern, especially as his family prefers to stay in Munich. Top player. Future captain."
He added: "As reported, Joshua #Kimmich and Liverpool currently not hot."
Meanwhile, Manchester City's spending spree could continue with The Times reporting that they could eye a move for Liverpool-linked midfielder Ederson.
The Premier League champions have endured a torrid season and have moved in the January transfer window to bring in three new additions. Omar Marmoush completed a £59million move from Eintracht Frankfurt on Thursday to join Vitor Reis and Abdukodir Khusanov, who arrived earlier this week.
The Times have claimed that City could target Ederson after seeing their efforts to sign Douglas Luiz on loan were rejected by Juventus. It has been reported that their interest will hinge on whether John Stones and Manuel Akanji can perform as holding midfielders.
