Liverpool: Jurgen Klopp storms out of interview over 'dumb question' after FA Cup exit

Jurgen Klopp has stormed out of a post-match interview after Liverpool’s painful FA Cup exit.

Liverpool’s quadruple hopes were ended in dramatic fashion on Sunday as United twice came from behind to beat the Reds in the final seconds of extra time and seal a semi-final spot in a true FA Cup classic.

Klopp, who is leaving Liverpool at the end of the season, was left furious by the result and more irked when asked after the game about his side’s intensity in extra time.

Klopp was speaking to Nordic channel V Sport after the game, where the interviewer asked: “Normally, intensity is the name of your game, so how come it became so difficult in extra time?”

Klopp paused for a couple of seconds, inhaled and said: “That’s a bit of a dumb question, I have to say, if you see us often. If you never see us then you can ask ‘how can they have more resources?’.

“We played I don’t know how many games recently, I don’t know how many games United exactly have played. That’s sport.

“I’m really disappointed by that question, but you thought the opposite so that’s good.”

The interviewer then begins to ask another question, opening with “so, too many games” before Klopp interrupts him by saying: “Oh, you don’t think that? Ah, come on, you’re obviously not in good shape and I have no nerves for you.”

Klopp then brushes past the interviewer and walks off as the camera feed cuts back to a stunned presenter and two pundits.
