Liverpool legend involved in wild scenes outside Anfield as supporters await Jurgen Klopp

There were wild scenes outside Anfield today as Liverpool fans awaited the arrival of Jurgen Klopp for his final match in charge of the club.

The Reds face Wolves at home in the final game of the Premier League season in what will be an emotional occasion as the supporters and players bid farewell to Klopp after nine years in charge of the club.

And there has been a party atmosphere on Merseyside as fans celebrate a manager who has won eight major trophies during his spell with the club.,

The team bus arrived into the ground shortly after 2.30pm on Sunday afternoon to be greeted by thousands of fans who had lined the streets to welcome in Klopp and the players ahead of what will be an emotional afternoon inside the stadium itself.

Liverpool legend John Aldridge was part of the scrum and posted the scenes to his 370k followers on Twitter, joking: "What the hell am I doing here?! I don't think we're going to get [to] the ground."

Klopp is poised to address the fans inside Anfield at full time with a speech while a guard of honour is also expected to be given to a manager who won a first league title for 30 years 12 months after guiding the club to a sixth European Cup in Madrid in June 2019.
