Liverpool line-up for Aston Villa confirmed as Arne Slot makes one interesting change
Curtis Jones returns to the Liverpool team that meets Aston Villa this evening as Luis Diaz drops out. Jones served a suspension for Sunday's 2-1 home win over Wolves after being sent off after the final whistle of the Merseyside derby last week.
But the Academy graduate returns to the team as Diaz is named on the bench.
It's unclear if Dominik Szoboszlai, who played off the left for a portion of the second half against Wolves, or Jones, who has played in a wide position in his youth days, will operate in the front three alongside Diogo Jota and Mohamed Salah.

Ryan Gravenberch and Alexis Mac Allisterr both keep their places from the weekend further behind Jones and Szoboszlai. Darwin Nunez and Federico Chiesa are also on the bench alongside Diaz.
Ibrahima Konate partners Virgil van Dijk once more as Trent Alexander-Arnold makes a second successive start since returning from a thigh injury picked up in the 2-0 win at Bournemouth last month. Alisson Becker starts in goal and Andy Robertson keeps his place at left-back.
Liverpool can go 10 points clear at the top of the Premier League with a victory this evening before second-place Arsenal host West Ham United on Saturday. The Reds follow up tonight's game with a visit to Manchester City on Sunday afternoon.
Marcus Rashford, who is on loan from Manchester United, makes his full debut for Vila.
