Liverpool MMA star Darren Till calls out Gary Neville and Cristiano Ronaldo over 'beef'

MMA fighter-turned-boxer Darren Till has called out Manchester United legends Gary Neville and Cristiano Ronaldo.

Till, who hails from Walton and is a big Liverpool supporter, left UFC in March 2023 and is now pursuing a career in boxing. In January, the 31-year-old shall return to the ring in Manchester when he faces Tommy Fury on the Misfits Boxing card at Manchester's Co-op Live Arena.

Fury, who is the half-brother of heavyweight Tyson, is currently undefeated as a professional having most recently beaten KSI in October 2023. While Till currently has his focus on the 25-year-old, he would be open to returning to The Octagon to fight either Neville or Ronaldo.

He told Norske Bettingsider: "[I would fight] Gary Neville because me and him have had a Twitter beef. He doesn't like me.

"Got a little bit of beef with Gary. I don't hate the guy.

"But yeah, it'd probably be Gary Neville or Cristiano Ronaldo, because he seems like a big, tough fellow, Cristiano. I'd like to see his speed and his power.

"He seems like a very explosive man. He's obviously ripped to the gills, isn't he?

"You know, he doesn't drink Coca-Cola or anything like that. I need to take a leaf out of his book."

The build-up to Till's fight with Fury began in earnest last week as the first press conference was held. It would quickly descend into chaos though as Fury's father John chucked water at Till beforehand leading to the two camps being separated by security.

Fury, who is a United supporter, will be hoping to gain popularity from the Manchester crowd when he returns to the ring on January 18.
