Liverpool next five fixtures compared to Arsenal and Chelsea after title rivals falter
Liverpool were handed another boost in the Premier League title race after rivals Arsenal dropped points at Brighton on Saturday evening. The Gunners could only manage a 1-1 draw at the Seagulls with Ethan Nwaneri's first-half finish cancelled out by Joao Pedro's second-half penalty.
The result means Liverpool could go eight points clear of second-placed Arsenal with a game in hand. Arne Slot's side are next in action on Sunday afternoon at home to struggling Manchester United (kick-off: 4:30pm).
And ahead of Sunday's game against United, the Reds were further boosted on Saturday afternoon when another potential title rival, Chelsea, dropped points in a 1-1 draw at Crystal Palace. Enzo Maresca's team are winless in their last four fixtures and sit nine points off Liverpool having played two games more than the Reds.
