Liverpool suffered a small dent to their Premier League title hopes on Tuesday, though on the other hand were able to avoid one rival closing the gap. Diogo Jota emerged from the bench to equalise against Nottingham Forest with the Reds perhaps feeling they deserved more in the end.

Out of sorts in the first period, Liverpool found themselves behind because of an eighth-minute Chris Wood strike. No response could be made until the 66th minute, when substitutes Kostas Tsimikas and Jota combined to level from a corner routine. After that the visitors peppered Matz Sels' goal, but six saves from the Belgian goalkeeper ensured Forest would hold their top-of-the-league opposition to a draw.

Despite the result Arne Slot and Co. would not have been worried about conceding their place as leaders to a rival as they already commanded a six-point advantage.
