Liverpool only need to worry about one team in Premier League title race and it's not Arsenal

It’s not about Arsenal, Man City or whoever in the title-race now - it’s about ourselves. People say to me, ‘Who are you worried about?’ I’m worried about Liverpool.

Whether we go through a bad run or whatever. We don’t need to worry about Arsenal, only worry about ourselves. We just need to keep on going, keep on doing what we’re doing and try to get even better if we can, taking every game as it comes.

If we win the game in hand and can beat Arsenal at home, they could go a long way to make sure we’re there at the end of the season.

There are big games coming up, massive games. We know that. Tottenham, we want to get through to a final again. We love going to Wembley, it’s our second home.

We’ve probably been to Wembley more times than any other club over the years. We need to overturn that 1-0 deficit. It’ll be interesting to see what team Arne puts out, that will be the interesting part.

I think he’ll put a really strong side out to win the game before rotating for the Plymouth game. I’m looking forward to Thursday, it should be a good game, under the lights and in front of our fans.

Chiesa can make the difference

Federico Chiesa was really good against PSV, we’re talking about a proper player. We’re wrapping him up in cotton wool to make sure he’s okay, given the injuries he’s had in the past.

We’re treating him as a special case because they know how good he can be for the club. In the run-in, he can give us something different. Whether it’s coming off the bench or starting games, he offers something different to what we’ve got.

You can see the quality he’s got. I remember watching him play for Italy. He’s a quality player who has gone through a lot the last couple of years.

Let’s hope he benefits from how they’ve been careful with him and he gets more playing time, because if he does, he will only get better. He’s a proper player.

Trent troubles

It’s never great to lose anyone to injury. Trent struggled big-time, I don’t know what was wrong with him.

We got away with it at times defensively on Saturday but it was really horrible to see him go off injured. Let’s just hope it’s nothing too serious.

But it is what it is with him this season, he’s got so much going on in his mind. It does affect a player. He wasn’t himself against Manchester United last month.

It’s only been a couple of games now and people are saying things, but there is a lot going on in his mind.

It’s between him and the manager. He’s got to work it out because it’s not easy. He’s in the news all the time and it does affect you. He’s only human.
