The January transfer deadline is fast approaching. However, in terms of incomings, it has so far been a quiet month for Liverpool.

As expected, the Reds have so far opted against strengthening their personnel this month. But while no formal deals have taken place, they have certainly been linked with plenty of names.

One of the latest names to be linked with a move to Anfield has been Anis Hadj-Moussa. The forward has impressed in his debut season at Feyenoord, scoring six times in 25 appearances in all competitions.

And now, according to Africa Foot, not only are the Reds interested in signing the Algeria international, but Liverpool head of recruitment Barry Hunter is leading the discussions in close contact with his entourage, in particular with his agent, Mohamed Dahmane.

The report then goes on to claim that the Reds 'plan to finalise' the deal for Hadj-Moussa in the summer for €12m. But it is also claimed that the fee could increase if the player were to impress in the coming months.

The development comes a month after Hadj-Moussa attended Chelsea’s Boxing Day clash against Fulham. The forward took to social media to tell the world he was in attendance at Stamford Bridge as Marco Silva’s side came from behind to claim a 2-1 win.

Three of the forward's goals have come in the Champions League, including the 3-3 draw with Manchester City back in November. This season has seen Hadj-Moussa play predominantly on the right wing for Feyenoord, but he is also capable of performing on the left wing as well as in a No.10 role when required.
