Liverpool eased into the fourth round of the FA Cup with a comfortable home victory over League Two strugglers Accrington Stanley on Saturday afternoon. Diogo Jota, skipper Trent Alexander-Arnold and substitute Jayden Danns all found the target as the Reds secured a 3-0 triumph.

The result means Arne Slot's side avoided failing to win for a third successive game and remain involved on four fronts for honours.

And the ECHO were in attendance at a chilly Anfield and here we run the rule over the performance of each Liverpool player.

Caoimhin Kelleher 6

One amusing moment when he crept forward with the ball at his feet completely unchallenged for 25 yards. Barely touched ball with his hands.

Trent Alexander-Arnold 7

Good swift pass to release Nunez to set up the opener and then thumped in the second from range just before half-time. Subbed.

Wataru Endo 8

Again playing at centre-back, excellent in reading the game and clever use of possession. Took over captaincy from Alexander-Arnold for much of second half. Subbed.

Jarell Quansah 7

With so little defending before break, kept matters simple with his passing although more work to do when Accrington finally had a go second half.

Kostas Tsimikas 7

Impressive moving forward and delivery from crosses a potent threat for Liverpool. Defended doggedly in decent showing.

Tyler Morton 6

Neat and tidy in midfield and slowly began to become an influence the longer the game progressed. Subbed.

Dominik Szoboszlai 6

Took a little while to settle after recent absence but alert to win ball to spark opener and teed up second. Subbed.

Harvey Elliott 6

Some good searching passes and became more prominent before interval, particularly with one good defensive tackle. Caught by strong challenge second half but soldiered on.

Diogo Jota 6

Slightly wayward early on as he acclimatised to being number 10 but began to cause problems when dropping deep and in right place to top home opener. Quiet second half which he ended as captain.

Rio Ngumoha 7

Announced himself on debut with some tricky runs down the left before break and released ball at right time. Encouraging display. Subbed.

Darwin Nunez 6

Missed a good chance early on but strong endeavour and good work to set up opening goal but subdued after being caught on ankle second half.

Federico Chiesa (for Szoboszlai 46) 8

Had two shots deflected into side-netting and saved effort prompted the third before netting deserved fourth in much-needed lively cameo.

James McConnell (for Morton 60) 6

Solid in midfield and spent the final 15 minutes slotting in at centre-back.

Conor Bradley (for Alexander-Arnold 60) 6

A few sprints down the right and one flick that wowed the home crowd.

Jayden Danns (for Ngumoha 72) 7

On hand to help assist and then score Liverpool’s third. Loves this competition.

More minutes for the teenager, who could clam an assist for the fourth.
