Liverpool maintained their advantage at the top of the Premier League with a comfortable home win over struggling Ipswich Town on Saturday. Cody Gakpo scored twice while Dominik Szoboszlai and Mohamed Salah also found the target as the Reds cruised to a 4-1 triumph, with Jacob Greaves grabbing a late consolation for the visitors.

The result means Arne Slot's side remain six points clear at the summit with a game in hand after nearest challengers Arsenal won at Wolves and Nottingham Forest were thumped at Bournemouth.

Here the ECHO run the rule over the performance of the Liverpool players after an encouraging afternoon at Anfield.

Alisson Becker 7

Another first half where it’s difficult to remember him touching the ball with his hands. At least had two saves to make after break, one of which was excellent to deny Enciso.

Trent Alexander-Arnold 8

Little defending required throughout and sought to probe the Ipswich resistance with range of passing, which was rewarded with inviting cross to set up fourth. Hit underside of bar with one improvised effort.

Ibrahima Konate 7

Defensively dominant and composed, while fine pass through the lines released Szoboszlai for opener.

Virgil van Dijk 7

Passed early test of physicality up against the robust Delap and helped keep Ipswich pinned back with high line.

Andy Robertson 7

Offered himself regularly going forward and on top in decent battle with substitute Johnson defensively.

Ryan Gravenberch 9

Excellent performance from the Dutchman, who constantly anticipated danger, moved the ball forward and played big part in third goal. Subbed.

Alexis Mac Allister 8

Silky showing in swiftly moving possession in midfield as Liverpool quickly seized initiative. A joy to watch when in this mood. Subbed.

Mohamed Salah 8

Constant running saw him wear down marker Davis – who was replaced at half-time – and superb finish for second goal. Worked very hard.

Dominik Szoboszlai 8

Energetic showing and made most of spaces that opened up behind Ipswich midfield to rattle home opener and have shot saved to prompt third. Subbed.

Cody Gakpo 8

Saw plenty of ball on the left flank and his deep cross to the far post created second before on hand to notch the third and head home the fourth. Subbed.

Luis Diaz 7

Back in the central striking role, became slightly lost among all the Ipswich defenders until dropping out wide where his running infield caused issues. Better when on left second half. Subbed.

Harvey Elliott (for Szoboszlai 68) 7

Struck acrobatic volley into side-netting.

Darwin Nunez (for Gakpo 68) 6

Not much opportunity to be a threat on goal.

Wataru Endo (for Gravenberch 68) 6

Caught by a high challenge from Enciso but soldiered on.

Jayden Danns (for Mac Allister 80)

More minutes for the teenage striker.

Federico Chiesa (for Diaz 86)

Another outing.
