Liverpool sent major Khvicha Kvaratskhelia transfer update as £176m bid 'confirmed'
Paris Saint-Germain have already offered a massive transfer fee to sign reported Liverpool target Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, it has been claimed. The Georgia international could leave Italian Serie A side Napoli this month in what could be one of the biggest moves of the January transfer window.
The Liverpool ECHO understand that there is yet to be any formal contact between Liverpool and Napoli this month regarding Kvaratskhelia's transfer. But the winger is a player that has been on the club's radar ever since he emerged as one of Serie A's finest talents and the club are long-term admirers of him.
Chelsea have also been credited with challenging for his signature from the Premier League, though it appears the club the Reds must watch out for is actually PSG. It has been claimed that the Ligue 1 side had hoped to sign Kvaratskhelia over the summer, but saw their efforts thwarted.

"Paris Saint-Germain started a concrete attack for Kvaratskhelia. That was an exclusive update but it doesn't mean that a deal is done. It means that Paris Saint-Germain are in negotiations with Napoli," Fabrizio Romano has said in a recent update shared on YouTube.
The Italian reporter claims that the French club and Napoli are in direct contact and the player's representatives are also in dialogue with those in Paris. It is also said they willing to pay up to five-times his current €2m (£1.6m) per year salary. Romano went on to explain how Parc de Prince chiefs have been hot on Kvaratskhelia since early as May last year.
"Before the start of the summer transfer window, Paris Saint-Germain presented a proposal to Napoli sent by the agent of Victor Osimhen, who was in an excellent relationship with Paris Saint-Germain.
"A proposal worth €210m (£176.1m) - €200m guaranteed, €10m in add-ons - for both Kvaratskhelia and Osimhen. So, Paris Saint-Germain wanted to sign even before the beginning of the market in May 2024.
"Napoli said no, Kvaratskhelia is not for sale, Osimhen situation took all summer and we all know what happened - he joined Galatasaray [on loan].
"Now it is more than six months so Kvaratskhelia has a short contract with Napoli, the salary situation is not fixed and so Paris Saint-Germain are back to the table but with different conditions."
According to this latest report, Napoli are asking for €80m (£67m) to release Kvaratskhelia from his contract in Italy, which is due to expire in 2027.
Much like Liverpool have been speculated to include Federico Chiesa as a makeweight in a potential deal, PSG are said to have attempted to include centre back Milan Skriniar in their negotiation. Napoli aren't keen on his permanent arrival due to salary concerns, and so talks continue further into January.
