Eintracht Frankfurt has excited Liverpool fans after reposting a graphic of transfer target Omar Marmoush alongside Mohamed Salah on social media.

Marmoush and Salah have both scored over 10 goals and recorded 10 assists each this season across all competitions, leading the way in Europe's elite divisions. Marmoush remains a major transfer target for Liverpool, and Frankfurt has teased a possible partnership in the future.

"Things you love to see," Frankfurt's official X account wrote when reposting the graphic celebrating Marmoush and Salah this season. The German club also added a handshake emoji between their names, with Liverpool fans hoping it means that they'd be willing to do business.

Marmoush is on the radar of most top European clubs, with Liverpool and Barcelona appearing to be the frontrunners. According to Sport, Marmoush is being eyed as a long-term replacement to Robert Lewandowski, but Liverpool could partner Salah with his Egyptian teammate.

The Frankfurt striker is one of the top talents in Europe this season, scoring 14 goals in 16 appearances with 10 assists. Marmoush scored 17 goals in all competitions last season, meaning he could beat his previous tally before 2025.

Marmoush has spent the majority of his senior career in Germany, after moving to Wolfsburg's reserve team in 2017. The striker was signed from Egyptian Premier League club Wadi Degla SC, where he broke through as a 16-year-old and instantly attracted attention from around Europe.

The Egyptian striker spent five seasons with Wolfsburg but only established himself in the first team during the 2022-23 season, scoring six goals in 36 appearances. Marmoush then left after his contract expired and joined Frankfurt on a free transfer.

Wolfsburg's loss is Frankfurt's gain, as the club has reportedly placed a $65 million price tag on a player they acquired for nothing. "He's responsible for producing danger up front, firing in goals and setting up others," Frankfurt head coach Dino Toppmoller said of Marmoush in October.

"He's very difficult to defend due to his pace and how fast he can run deep. He can also sneak in from close range, exhibit a great touch and play some great balls. He's in outstanding form at the moment, and he's feeling comfortable. That's the key to his success these days. He feels comfortable with this club and the group, and is thus a key component for us."

Former Egypt goalkeeper Ahmed Shobair is expecting Marmoush to secure a major move by the start of next season, and told OnSport: "What he's done in the German league since last season deserves even more praise and attention. Marmoush proves every day that he's a distinguished talent and a wonderful player. There's little doubt that a transfer to one of Europe's biggest clubs is very close."
