Liverpool star opens door to January transfer exit - 'It's decision time'
Liverpool star Tyler Morton has hinted at a potential January transfer, stating, "It's decision time," as speculation grows about his future at Anfield.
Liverpool's youngsters shone in an impressive 4-0 victory over Accrington Stanley on Saturday. While Arne Slot's side were expected to secure a comfortable win, the match offered plenty of highlights, including Rio Ngumoha’s senior debut and Federico Chiesa’s first goal for the Reds.
Among the standout performances, Morton quietly impressed in midfield. The 22-year-old, fresh off two successful Championship loan spells at Blackburn Rovers and Hull City, shown composure and quality in just his fourth appearance this season.

Despite his solid display, Morton’s limited opportunities under Slot have been a point of frustration. Speaking to LFCTV after the match, Morton expressed his belief that he deserves more playing time and hinted that he might consider a move in the January transfer window to secure regular minutes.
“It’s been tough for me this season, minute’s wise,” he answered. “I think I’ve handled it very well, I’ve kept my head down and given it everything every day. I think I do deserve the chance.
"I got the chance today and hopefully people thought I took it. I think I had a good game and when you don’t get many chances you have to take them and I think I did today.”
When asked if he’s “waiting to see what might happen” in the January transfer window and whether a loan move could be on the cards, Morton gave an honest reply.
“This month’s obviously a big month for myself,” he responded. “It’s decision time and I think I’m ready to kick on and be a proper professional. Definitely I’m ready to kick on now and move up a step.
“If that’s here, if that’s somewhere else, I think football’s football and I’ve got to be a bit selfish and go with however I feel.”
