Liverpool star Trent Alexander-Arnold breaks social media silence after Man United criticism
Trent Alexander-Arnold has posted to social media after a standout display as Liverpool progressed in the FA Cup. The 26-year-old captained the Reds, was on the scoresheet and was named player-of-the-match following the 4-0 win over Accrington Stanley.
Arne Slot's side avoided an upset against the League Two side with Diogo Jota, Jayden Danns and summer signing Federico Chiesa on the scoresheet with Alexander-Arnold doubling the scoring right on the stroke of half-time. The full-back fired the goal of the afternoon after unleashing a ferocious strike from range into the top corner.
Liverpool booked their place in tomorrow's fourth round draw. They also returned to winning ways after their two previous outings against Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur.

Alexander-Arnold posted a series of photographs in a wordless social media post, the first since his goal in the 5-0 win over West Ham United. Following his display against the Red Devils, the England international was the topic of intense criticism after his role in the 2-2 draw with United.
Speaking after the win over the League Two side, head coach Slot said: "I could talk for hours about that [goal]. It was unbelievable.
"The biggest compliment Trent could get was the reaction of everyone after the Manchester United game. Every player around the world, maybe except for a few, has a bad game and that is completely normal, but the moment Trent has one, everyone has an opinion about it.
"Maybe that is because of the contract situation. I don't know if that wasn't there if people would have reacted in the same way. You have such a great first half of the season and you don't play a good game against United - and that was clear for me, for you, the fans and the analysts who saw the game - but many of them were quite hard on him.
"I think it was good for him to play in our own stadium and feel the reception of the fans again. It was also special again today and that can only help him - and us."
