Liverpool stars make Darwin Nunez feelings clear as wordless Mohamed Salah message sums it up
Darwin Nunez has chosen to stay silent on social media platform Instagram by simply, instead, sharing posts from his teammates after scoring twice during Liverpool's 2-0 win over Brentford. The Uruguay star's brace, in stoppage time, ensured the Reds extended their lead at the top of the Premier League.
He came off the bench to end a run of three matches without a win and provide a response to the critics. It was the perfect afternoon for Arne Slot's side, with Arsenal later drawing 2-2 against Aston Villa and dropping points.
The brace took Nunez to four goals in the league so far this season. After the game, Liverpool posted a picture of the striker on X (was Twitter) and captioned it as 'the man of the moment' to which Nunez simply responded with a goofy face emoji.

But when taking to Instagram, the 25-year-old diverted from posting pictures from the game, which is the usual routine for most players after matches. Instead, he shared his posts from teammates via his story.
The first one was from captain Virgil van Dijk - who shared a picture of himself and Nunez followed by the short, two-word caption: "Good afternoon!" That was followed by Mohamed Salah, as he shared a snap of himself with Nunez without a caption.
Alexis Mac Allister shared a number of pictures from the Brentford game and he wrote: "Matches are won with effort, teamwork... and a Darwin Nunez in fire mode. We keep moving forward."
Ibrahima Konate added: "Taking the points back to Anfield," while Harvey Elliott shared a picture with Nunez in a wordless post. On a post of his own, Andy Robertson hailed the Uruguayan, writing: "Impact."
Speaking after the win, Nunez admitted finding his form at the club as 'difficult.' "I think you have to stay mentally strong, never give up," he told Sky Sports. "Yes, there are moments that are very difficult for us players, for me, it's right now but I never throw the towel in.
"I always carry on working. In training, if I need to stay and practice more, I stay to improve. I think the work that I do on the pitch to help the team to defend as well. I think I’ve always done it well but I haven't scored goals and I know people look at that. The striker has to score goals.
"The truth is I'm going through a rough patch and, like I said before, I stay focused on my job and giving everything for Liverpool. I think it's important to keep my head up and I always say I've got to work because I need to improve. I stay strong with this mentality - and with the support of my family and the fans that are incredible."
