Liverpool supporters deliver clear Elon Musk verdict after takeover claim
The father of the world’s richest man, Elon Musk, claimed earlier this week that his son would be interested in buying Liverpool. In an interview with Times Radio, Errol Musk said his son would 'like to' purchase Liverpool because the family has links to the city and knew 'quite a few of the Beatles'.
“I can’t comment on that. They’ll raise the price,” he replied when asked about the takeover claims. When pressed on whether Elon would want to buy Liverpool, he added: “Oh, yes. But that doesn’t mean he’s buying it.
“He would like to, yes, obviously. Anybody would want to – so would I.” Last May, Forbes rated Liverpool the fourth most valuable club, with an estimated value of £4.3bn.

However, that amounts to just over one percent of Musk’s total net worth, which is believed to be around £343bn. But Liverpool supporters, reacting in the comments section of the Liverpool ECHO website, have sent a clear message to the billionaire.
Commenter Shanklysboys said: “We don't need Elon Musk to buy Liverpool FC, he'll ruin us. He's got too much baggage and it's all about him. The club will be in his shadow, I'd rather have FSG, and I don't like them. We'll lose our integrity and go downhill, he's not well-liked.”
Klopps Disciple remarked: “I wouldn’t want him anywhere near our club, people talk about FSG not spending money, but you can’t spend money you haven’t got or you end up like city.”
Kevl4 wrote: “Walk on and on and on and on, and don't stop till you're as far away from Anfield as possible!”
Sadios said: “Musk has absolutely nothing to do with LFC. He is what the club is not.”
