Liverpool have reportedly opened talks with Bundesliga 2 side FC Nurnberg over a summer transfer for Greek striker Stefanos Tzimas. The 19-year-old has scored eight goals in 15 games for the German outfit since signing on a season-long loan from Greek side PAOK.

Sky German's Florian Plettenberg claims the Reds have already contacted the player's team over a potential move to Anfield later this year. It is reported that Nurnberg have an obligation to sign Tzimas permanently for £15m in the summer.

However, they are prepared to sell the striker for roughly £20m in the same window. In addition to Liverpool, it is claimed Tzimas' form in Germany has alerted Chelsea, Brighton and Aston Villa.

Meanwhile, it is claimed that Liverpool could use Championship loanee Ben Doak as part of a deal to try and sign Bournemouth's Antoine Semenyo. The Northern Echo claims that the Reds are long-term admirers of Semenyo and are ready to move for the forward after his impressive form for the Cherries this season.

Semenyo has scored 14 goals in 63 appearances since signing for Bournemouth from Bristol City in January 2023. It is claimed that Bournemouth are "reluctant" to lose Semneyo this month and therefore have slapped a £50m price tag on the forward, though it is said Liverpool could tempt the Cherries into business by including Doak in a potential deal.

Doak, 19, joined Middlesbrough on a season-long loan in August and has been in scintillating form for Michael Carrick's side in recent months. As a result of Doak's form, the Reds have rejected offers from Ipswich Town and Crystal Palace for the Scotland international.
