Liverpool manager Arne Slot has named a strong team for Saturday's trip to Brentford, with Luis Diaz overcoming illness to start up top and Kostas Tsimikas replacing Andy Robertson.

The Reds head into the 10 A.M. ET kickoff looking to return to winning ways after being held to a 1-1 draw away at Premier League high flyers Nottingham Forest. Liverpool holds a four-point lead over Arsenal at the top of the league, and Slot's men also have a game in hand.

However, victory at the G-Tech against the Bees and Arsenal dropping points at home to Aston Villa later on Saturday could see the Reds strengthen their grip on the top spot.

Slot admitted that he was disappointed with his team's performance against Forest during the week. The Reds fell a goal behind via a Chris Wood goal in the 8th minute.

Diogo Jota got the eventual equalizer in the second half. However, the Portugal International is missing this weekend after suffering a setback from a fresh injury. Jota was absent from training on Thursday following his latest injury.

He was sidelined earlier this season with an upper-body injury against Chelsea in Oct. "There's no doubt about the fact that Jota is an important player for us," Slot said on Friday morning. "He was not in training yesterday so we have to see today where he is.

"It's not sure that he will be available for tomorrow. We have to wait and see, He felt a little niggle during the half-hour he was in (against Forest), he could finish the game but he afterwards he complained a bit about it. That's why he didn't train on Thursday. We have to see if he is available today and tomorrow."

The boss added: "Not because it's Jota, every single player has an individual programme. I've said before that 80-90% of the things are the same for players. But every individual has things he wants to improve or to prevent him from maybe getting a certain injury he may have had in the past.

"Of course, there is an eye on him (Jota) doing some individual work to prevent him from getting injured, but that's not only with him. With all the others it's the same. There is a special programme for him as there is for every single player."
