After the final day clash with Wolves, Liverpool will bid farewell to boss Jürgen Klopp. After almost years at Anfield, the German has selected a starting XI for the final time.

In that starting team are the likes of Cody Gakpo and Alexis Mac Allister. Jarell Quansah, meanwhile, retains his place in the side, with Ibrahima Konaté left on the bench again. Diogo Jota is back in the squad but Thiago hasn't made it in time.

Confirmed Liverpool starting XI for the final time under Klopp: Alisson; Alexander-Arnold, Quansah, Van Dijk, Robertson; Elliott, Endō, Mac Allister; Salah, Gakpo, Díaz.

Klopp writes in his programme notes: "The absolute rule is that from the first whistle to final whistle we do everything we can to play proper Liverpool football. After that, we can enjoy the occasion but business always has to come first and always has to be the priority."

Earlier today, these are the teams that some of our Liverpool.com writers would select to face Wolves for the German's final match. Have a look and see how close our predictions were, and let us know your thoughts on Klopp's farewell in the comments section.

Matt Addison - Cody Gakpo keeps his place

Well, here we are. The final team selection that Klopp will have to make. I've no idea what to expect from the match itself but the team may as well be as strong as possible, with Jarell Quansah keeping his place and Andy Robertson returning.

In midfield, I'd like to see Harvey Elliott and I'd move Alexis Mac Allister into the number six role. Curtis Jones can start to his left, though I wouldn't be against Dominik Szoboszlai playing there instead.

In the attack, Mohamed Salah will start and I think you have to stick with Cody Gakpo. For me, Darwin Núñez is therefore on the bench and Luis Díaz plays off the left. Diogo Jota was back in training, he likely won't be fit enough to start.

My starting XI: Alisson; Alexander-Arnold, Quansah, Van Dijk, Robertson; Mac Allister, Elliott, Jones; Salah, Gakpo, Díaz

Predicted scoreline: 2-1 to Liverpool.

One thing to watch: There's only one man who will be the center of attention here: Jürgen Klopp. On an afternoon to savor and drink in as much as possible, the German's tenure will be celebrated. The tears will almost certainly flow.

Liam Prenderville - Darwin Núñez brought in

It is the day that we never thought would come but Klopp will lead his team out for a final time this afternoon. It is going to be an emotional occasion and one where the match isn't really the main event.

I can't see Klopp making too many changes but Andy Robertson should start if he is fit. Dominik Szoboszlai also gets the nod in midfield after finding himself on the bench in recent weeks.

Up top, Cody Gakpo doesn't deserve to be dropped but I am giving Darwin Núñez a start on the left of the front three. Expect Klopp to make some changes so the likes of Curtis Jones, Diogo Jota and even Thiago could all get minutes from the bench.

My starting XI: Alisson; Alexander-Arnold, Quansah, Van Dijk, Robertson; Szoboszlai, Mac Allister, Elliott; Salah, Gakpo, Núñez.

Predicted scoreline: 4-2 to Liverpool.

One thing to watch: An action-packed send-of for Klopp's final match. Both teams have the freedom to express themselves and should put on a show fitting for the German's farewell.
