Liverpool duo Ibrahima Konate and Conor Bradley were both in training on Friday as the pair near a return to action. They could each feature against Manchester United this weekend.

Center-back Joe Gomez, though, is set to miss a few weeks with a hamstring injury. He limped off against West Ham just under a week ago and could be replaced by Jarell Quansah if Konate is not yet fit enough to start.

Arne Slot confirmed yesterday that he has no other injury concerns at the moment with a full roster of players to choose from. Federico Chiesa has missed some action lately but that has been more about managing his slow integration.

Manchester United is similarly unaffected by injuries and suspensions at the moment. Bruno Fernandes and Manuel Ugarte are back after serving a one-match ban and only Mason Mount, Victor Lindelof and Luke Shaw are sidelined. Marcus Rashford is ill.

For Liverpool, Konate, Cody Gakpo, Ryan Gravenberch and Darwin Nunez are all one booking away from a suspension. Only Harry Maguire has the same threat looming over him for Ruben Amorim's men.

"We play most of the games with three," Amorim said during Friday's press conference. "Sometimes, Bruno [Fernandes] was in a different position, the midfield. I know people look for the three defenders but I don't see the game like that. We will adapt for every opponent. We need time."

Liverpool.com says: If the Reds play well, they should win well. The problem last season was that Liverpool didn't ever manage to show its true self against Manchester United. It has done so at Old Trafford already in 2024/25 and will hope to repeat the trick.
