Liverpool's massive clash with Manchester United has been given the green light despite heavy snow on Merseyside. There were worries that the game might be postponed due to the weather overnight.
An amber warning was put in place by the Met Office as a result, effective from 6pm on Saturday evening and through to midday on Sunday.
Liverpool confirmed just after 12pm that the game would proceed.

The club said: "Today’s fixture against Manchester United will go ahead as planned. Two safety meetings were held earlier to assess the weather and travel conditions. We thank everyone involved in helping us to get this game on today. If you’re travelling to Anfield then please take extra care. We look forward to seeing you there."
