All eyes will be on Jürgen Klopp rather than the actual match later today, with the German taking charge of his final Liverpool game as the Reds host Wolves in the Premier League.

After almost nine years at the club, the clash with Wolves will be Liverpool's final game under the guidance of Klopp, with the German set to receive a big send-off at Anfield later today. The Reds are guaranteed third place as they enter the final weekend of the Premier League season, so all attention will be on the dugout rather than the game.

Along with Klopp, there will also be send-offs for Thiago Alcântara and Joël Matip, with the duo confirmed to be departing the club with their contracts expiring this summer. It would be great if Klopp could exit the club on a high, and a win against Wolves would be the third in a row against the West Midlands club, with the clash earlier this season ending in a 3-1 win for the Reds.

So, how will Liverpool fare against Wolves? To complete this simulation, we used EA FC 24 and updated the squads with the latest injuries and suspensions.

We predict that Liverpool could line up in a 4-3-3 formation, with their starting XI as follows: Alisson; Alexander-Arnold, Konate, Quansah, Robertson; Endō, Elliott, Mac Allister; Salah, Gakpo, Diaz.

We predict that Wolves could set up in a 3-4-2-1 formation, with their line-up as follows: Sa; Bueno, Kilman, Toti; Semedo, Gomes, Lemina, Ait-Nouri; Hwang, Sarabia; Cunha.

Klopp's farewell almost got off to the perfect start at Anfield when Luis Díaz latched onto Trent Alexander-Arnold's cross to go one-on-one with the 'keeper three minutes in, but the Colombian could only strike the ball at the legs of the 'keeper as the chance went begging. The pressure continued throughout the first half, but the Reds weren't able to take the lead.

A quick start after the break saw Wolves have a chance to take the lead, but Alisson was quick off his line to smother Matheus Cunha who had beat the Reds' high line to surge through on goal. Mohamed Salah struck the crossbar in the 64th minute as Klopp's side continued to look for the opener, and moments later, the deadlock was finally broken.

Cody Gakpo seemed to be involved in every attacking play in the second half, and the Dutchman earned a corner when his long-range effort was blocked wide of the goal. Jarell Quansah's header from the resulting cross rebounded off a defender's body and back to his feet, and on the second attempt the youngster fired home to put Liverpool one goal ahead.

Liverpool came close once again in the final few minutes when Salah was sent through on goal by Alexis Mac Allister, but the winger opted to pass to Gakpo rather than shoot himself, allowing the Wolves defenders to get back and kill any attacking momentum the Reds had. Nevertheless, Liverpool managed to hold out for the three points and a clean sheet, giving Klopp a great send-off in his final game.
