Liverpool winger makes swift return as fresh loan transfer exit confirmed
Liverpool winger Kaide Gordon will continue his development in the Championship with the youngster playing out the remainder of the season on loan at Portsmouth. Gordon had initially agreed to spend the campaign in the division at Norwich City only for the Reds to last month recall the player due to a lack of game time.
The 20-year-old scored one goal in 10 appearances, but only one of those outings was as a starter.
Now Gordon will look to help Portsmouth in their fight against relegation back to League One after the transfer was confirmed shortly before the 11pm transfer deadline on Monday.

Gordon was brought to Liverpool from Derby County in February 2021 in a deal that could eventually cost £3.4million, and made his senior debut as a 16-year-old later that year in a League Cup win at Norwich before going on to score in the FA Cup win over Shrewsbury Town, make his Premier League bow and start the League Cup semi-final second leg win at Arsenal.
However, an injury related to his growth led to Gordon being sidelined for 18 months before making his senior return in the Europa League visit to Union Saint-Gilloise in December 2023 and then continuing his rehabilitation with the under-21s.
Another Liverpool player departing on loan is Dominic Corness, who has linked up with League Two side Gillingham. The 21-year-old midfielder spent last season at Swiss side Yverdon Sport.
