But the likes of Salah, Alexander-Arnold, Alisson Becker and Dominik Szoboszlai all return an Anfield today.

Joel Matip is out after undergoing surgery for an anterior cruciate ligament rupture.

Alexis Mac Allister, Thiago Alcantara, Diogo Jota, Stefan Bajcetic and Any Robertson remain sidelined.

“Nobody got hurt, nobody is injured, so we recover, go home and go again,” said Klopp after the 2-1 defeat in midweek.

Klopp also confirmed half-time substitutions of Wataru Endo and Ibrahima Konate in Belgium had been pre-planned.

“We just wanted to share the intensity,” said Klopp. “Do I want to play Joe Gomez 90 or Ibou 90 if we had the chance to do that? [I decided] 45 and 45, the same in midfield.

“These changes were planned before the game, independent of the result. We just tried to give it a go. It was clear that Jarell [Quansah] if he could play through then he would play through. That was the thinking behind it.”
