Liverpool's Carabao Cup fate gives Aston Villa massive headache
Aston Villa's home league match against Liverpool will be brought forward by a month if the Reds progress to the Carabao Cup final this evening.
The Premier League clash between the two sides is currently set for a 12.30pm kick-off on Saturday March 15 (live on TNT Sports in the UK). However, the cup final will take place at Wembley on Sunday, March 16, meaning Liverpool's trip to Villa Park would have to be rescheduled.
And the date for a new kick-off - if Liverpool make the final - has already been pencilled in by the Premier League. It would take place on Wednesday February 19 (7.30pm, live on TNT Sports in the UK).

Liverpool's progress to the final would mean Villa would play four successive home games in all competitions in the space of 13 days. Unai Emery's side host Tottenham Hotspur in the fourth round of the FA Cup on Sunday (5:35pm), before then facing Ipswich Town the following weekend on Saturday, February 15 (3pm).
League games against Liverpool (Wednesday, February 19) and Chelsea (Saturday, February 22, 5:30pm) would then follow. If Villa were to beat Spurs in the FA Cup, then they'd be playing eight games in all competitions in 20 days from hosting Liverpool to playing the second leg of their Champions League round of 16 second leg.
If Liverpool are in the Carabao Cup final on the weekend after Villa's Champions League league second leg, Emery's side won't be in action for three weeks before they face Brighton away from home on Tuesday, April 1. They would, however, return from the March international break to play in the FA Cup quarter-finals on the preceding weekend if they beat Tottenham and then make it through the fifth round too.
